Educational Opportunities for Students with Intellectual Disabilities
There are a growing number of education and training opportunities for people with intellectual disabilities after leaving school. Learners can follow a range of pathways depending on their interests, abilities, goals and support needs.
These opportunities can include Further Education and Training (FET), QQI-accredited courses, inclusive higher education programmes, vocational training, employment preparation and other learning opportunities.
We recognise that every learner's journey is different. Our aim is to support learners to develop their skills, confidence and independence while helping them explore the opportunities available to them.
