At City of Dublin FET College Finglas, Barry Road, we recognise that everyone communicates in their own way. Learners in our non-verbal communication QQI Level 2 class created a poster to show how they communicate in ways other than spoken language.

We support learners to express themselves and understand others using a range of communication methods, including facial expressions, body language, gestures, tone of voice, Lámh, pictures and technology.

Communication is at the heart of learning, relationships and making choices. It gives learners the opportunity to share their opinions, express how they feel, say what they want and do not want, make choices, and connect with others.

We believe that communication is a human right, and we are committed to creating an inclusive environment where every learner's voice is valued and heard.
