An Taisce’s Green Campus Programme

We’re excited to share that we’ve joined An Taisce’s Green Campus Programme

This means we’re taking steps to make our campus more environmentally friendly and raise awareness about sustainability. As part of the programme, we’ll be working together as a community to reduce waste, save energy, and protect the planet. It’s a great opportunity for students and staff to get involved and make a real difference.

Why we joined:

We’re committed to creating a more sustainable future for our students and our local community.
We want to play our part in tackling climate change and protecting our environment.

Who is involved:

A Green Campus Committee made up of learners, tutorrs, and staff is being formed to lead the way.
Everyone is encouraged to get involved, share ideas, and take action.

What areas we'll focus on:

Our focus areas will include waste management, energy use, biodiversity, and water conservation.
We’ll start by looking at how we can reduce waste and improve recycling on campus.

Next steps or upcoming events:

We’ll be holding workshops and awareness days to share tips and learn together.
Look out for posters and updates as we begin our first Green Campus projects!

Connection to wider goals:

This is part of a national and global effort to create greener, healthier campuses everywhere.
